For in scripture it says: “See I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen precious cornerstone, and the one who trust in him will never be put to shame”1 Peter 2:6
“One generation commends your work to another; they tell of your mighty acts” Psalm 145:4
The bible is full of inspiring stories of both men and women who lay down their live for Christ. The world tells us as we get older that we should stop dreaming and start settling in. But some of the most inspiring stories in the bible are of older men and women who continued to be dreamers and championed the cause of Christ well into their golden years. Therefore, we are honored to be a ministry of mature men and women who will not stop dreaming, and who will not be marginalized.
The Cornerstones of Potomac Valley are represented by empty-nesters, and senior members. We are a group of mature believers from all walks of life, and all different backgrounds who have a wealth of knowledge, and wisdom to share from a lifetime of experiences. We seek to unify our surrounding communities through participation in our small bible study groups, through service activities, and through spiritual devotion to Christ’s teachings. We believe in giving all for Christ, and we believe it’s never too late to have fun. You are invited to come and join us as we Gather, Serve, and Multiply.
