Hi! We're here if you have any questions, prayer requests, or just need to talk to someone.
When people first come to POVA, we don’t want anyone to feel like they’re guessing at what’s next. We help people take next steps at their own pace—no pressure, no mystery. For that reason, we have a quick orientation class every Sunday after church and a monthly membership class.
Our church gathers in Small Groups—small communities that meet throughout the week to grow in faith and life together. Each group has its own rhythm and style, but all of them focus on building real relationships, learning to follow Jesus, and helping each other grow step by step.
In these groups, we talk about Scripture and how it applies to everyday life, pray for one another, and look for practical ways to serve. Discipleship here is simple and relational—you don’t have to have it all together to join us. Whether you’re new to faith or have been walking with God for years, Small Groups offer a place to belong, grow, and walk with others who are learning to follow Jesus in real life.
Connection Points are open-access gatherings for men, women, professionals, and Cornerstones. They are not ministries or membership groups. Organized by volunteer committees, they create meaningful moments of connection, learning, and encouragement for everyone in our church community.
A place for men to connect, grow in faith, build friendships, and encourage one another through gatherings, teaching, and shared experiences that strengthen character and community.
A place for women to build friendships, explore faith, and engage in purposeful programs designed to encourage spiritual growth, connection, and support at every stage of life.
The Cornerstones Ministry of Potomac Valley Church are represented by empty-nesters and senior members. We are a group of mature believers from all walks of life and different backgrounds who have a wealth of knowledge, and wisdom, to share from a lifetime of experiences.
A welcoming place where young adults and professionals form friendships, explore faith, and support one another through events, conversations, and shared experience.
